Two words: Disneyland and California. Today was filled with joy and excitement. Suddenly we got twenty years each from our ages. For twelwe hours we were hitting the Disneyland kid's style!
Amusentpark was incredible! We found there our all time favourites like Indiana Jones experience, Star Tours (as Star Wars) and S's old dream, the Space Mountain. (Disney's VHS-tapes, which she watched as a child, always included ad of that.) The Space Mountain is a rollercoaster build inside a huge building, and only lights are the "stars". It goes very fast! Awesome!
"Rollercoaster" is definately the word of our day. Park offered many kind of those and we rode them all: Matterhorn Bobsleds located on Fantasyland's Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain railroad in the Frontierland and many more. The absolut favourite (hilarious and embarassing pictures are possibly published later) was the Splash Mountain with huge downhill straight to the water. So much fun with a hint of danger.
We also sailed around the Missisippi, saw 3D-tribute shortfilm Captain Eo (from blessed 80's, starring Michael Jackson) and drove like crazy in Autopia. The 3D-show's were just great, almost all of the were avrually 4D with moving benches and special effects.
Other kind of action was in Buzz Lighyear's Astro Blaster. Train went trough threats and we had our own toyguns to shoot the targets. The shuttle we sat in calculated points from hits during the ride.
Pirates of the Caribbean was romantic. As we were boating through bays of pirates and shotgun fires, backround music was "Drink up me hearties, yo ho!", our wedding march. L-O-V-E!
There were maybe million people in the park with us, but must say, queing system is wellthought. Line goes around and half of the time you queue inside. Helps a lot on a hot day like this.
In the evening it got dark and thousands of lights went on. Disney-city looked different and as like a cherry with an ice cream, we saw the magical fireworks.
